This spot has superb service as well as delicious menu. The best place around town. The food came out quick and the prices were reasonable. I recommend this place.

Always great food and service. Have been to Que Sera a number of times and have always enjoyed it. We have moved out of the area and will definitely miss this restaurant.

At the first moment you arrive in that restaurant the personel give you a comfortable feeling. Very congenial crew, it is a nice restaurant to go out with friends or with your date. enjoyable food, talented chef de cuisine, modest cost and excellent service. Warmly recommended.

Such great fresh food. It's a Creole/Cajun place. We had Conch Chowder, Gumbo, Trout Almondine, and Fried Shrimp. The people there were very kind as well. Sat on the bar side and it was clearly a local watering hole.

Service was great. The Redfish was cooked to perfection and the dish was full of flavor. Dessert was on point and good drink selection. Will return soon.

Great crab claws, and the portion is very generous. Wonderful bisque, too. We ate at the bar in their adjacent establishment, Tayloe's for a quick bite rather than a leisurely meal. Same menu of delectable food. Must go place in BMTN.

Good menu in a small old school building with great seafood options and local food. We came in for dinner service and had friendly service. Desert was delicious and we were happy to get a table on a busy night. Worth stopping by and having a few courses to see what you like.

Fabulous food. Great chill atmosphere!! The owners are very personable and came by to make sure our meal was as expected. It's the perfect place for a date night, having family or friends in town, or just a reasonable brunch.

I like the restaurant, I just didn't like what I got. The restaurant itself is very nice and the staff was very friendly. It's a nicer upscale feeling restaurant in the heart of a little black Mountain North Carolina. I ordered the steak and Fritz medium rare which is usually a great meal. My issue with my steak and Fritz was that I asked for the steak to be medium rare, and it came out well done, and there are hardly any fries on the plate. Besides my plate, they have a great beer selection, wine selection, and mixed drinks. I definitely want to try the place again, and when I do so I will update my review.

Outstanding food and service!

Excellent fried oysters. Wasn't crazy about the slaw, but the other sides were delicious. Wonderful wait staff. I will be back.

Swanky little restaurant in Black Mountain. I like sitting on the Oyster bar side which is more lively. Fabulous fig bourbon martini! The food was delicious and the service was great.

The raw oysters, the white wine muscles, the trout almandine, the bread pudding... It was all amazing. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

I'm not saying anything. You need to go.

Overall, the food is fantastic. We especially loved the bienville oysters, the trout almondine and the key lime pie.

Upscale food in a casual atmosphere. Stop in after a day shopping or hiking the mountains and have unique food and good wine!!

We enjoyed dinner in the Oyster bar by the fireplace. Good service and delicious food, wine & dessert. Fine dining, casual atmosphere with white tablecloths. We will return.

What a “Gem” nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The service, atmosphere, and fare, were top notch. Plan to dine here again when we visit Black Mountain.

Good service snd good selection of food. Great wine list as well. I ordered fish and didn't care so much for it since I found bones, but I guess that happens with fresh fish. The appetizer brie was really good too. Desert amazing as well.

Found this little gem about 6 years ago while searching for a place to eat in Black Mountain and we are glad we did. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. The Owner/Chef Carl comes to the table to make sure everything is to your liking. By far the best food in Black Mountain.

Wow! Very tasty food. We made a reservation for 9. The wait staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Chef brought our well behaved kiddos a small (very appreciated) treat after the meal. The ambiance is low-key, local, with art on the wall and well-lit dining. This is our new Black Mountain favorite!

A bit hidden below the main street but look for it. Service was extraordinary. The wine is a great pour by the glass. Chef Carl takes care of his own...and his new guests!!! Loved it

Feels warm, local and great food

Black Mountain has restaurants comparable to Asheville in quality and vibe without the parking hassle and crowds. Carl Tayloe treated our rowdy party of 8 like we were family. The menu features southern seafood creations with a mountain twist (he was a football player for University of Alabama). Everything was excellent! The presentation and quality made the meal a fantastic value. The night we were there a jazz combo played standards. An incredible dining atmosphere. You are missing out if you don't try this place.

Good service. And one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Try the redfish Hal you won't regret it.

Brought out of town guests for dinner and they're still raving about the Maine Scallops & the Gumbo...

Everything was cooked to perfection, the seasoning was subtle but perfect. I had the Trout Almondine, and my husband had the Filet Mignon. Will definitely have this again.

Killer! Well worth visiting!!

Service from Emma was great. We both choose the softshell crab since they are seasonal. This was the best preparation I've had. The crab was perfect and was excellent with the tang from the fried green tomato, sweetness of the creamed corn and the spicy pecans we're an unexpected complement. Will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Been visiting this area for over 50 years. Just found Que Sera this trip. Outstanding. Look forward to a return trip!!!

Great ambiance, spectacular service and the food was amazing.

Our yearly trip to Montreat, NC is not complete without a visit to Que Sera in Black Mountain, simply wonderful, freshly prepared food that is delicious!
